Family and friends of Eric Seidel are preparing to gather in Merrill, Wisconsin, to honor his memory following his reported passing. His visitation and funeral arrangements provide an opportunity for loved ones, classmates, coworkers, and community members to come together, share memories, and support one another. The first visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral Home, 301 Eagle Drive, Merrill, Wisconsin.
A second visitation will take place Friday, September 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the same location. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Eric’s family has also invited attendees to wear what they affectionately call “Eric Clothes” as a personal tribute to his personality and interests. Guests are encouraged to wear baseball hats, jeans, camouflage, flannel, or hunting shirts—clothing that reflects the style and activities associated with him.
Following the funeral service, family and friends will gather for a celebration of life, offering another opportunity to remember Eric and reflect on the moments they shared. Eric was connected to the Merrill community through his education and professional life. He attended Merrill High School and worked as a log yard utility at LP Building Products in Tomahawk. He had also previously worked at Central Wisconsin Evergreen.
For those who knew Eric, the gatherings will provide a chance to remember his personality, friendships, work, and the experiences that shaped his life. The family’s request for familiar clothing is intended to make the memorial personal and reflective of the person they loved.
