Cleveland police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man in his 30s was found dead early Sunday morning on the city’s west side.
According to preliminary information, officers responded around 3:14 a.m. to the 3500 block of West 48th Street, where they discovered the victim. A woman at the scene reportedly attempted CPR before emergency responders arrived.
Investigators also located a shell casing on a staircase near the residence, indicating the shooting may have occurred in or around the property.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending official notification of next of kin.
The area has previously been the site of gun violence. On May 31, 2026, a separate shooting in the same block resulted in the death of 23-year-old Julius Kafel and left two teenagers injured.
Authorities have not released information regarding a suspect or motive in the latest incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected as more information becomes available.
